The Valiant Charger gave Australia one of its defining muscle cars, part of a Mopar tradition that collectors here follow from Detroit to Tonsley Park. The E49 remains a benchmark for the Australian muscle car era and locally built Valiants of every body style have followed it into serious collectability, while the American side of the family runs from Hemi powered muscle to the fins and chrome of the 1950s. Mopar culture has always made room for the modified car, and a well built example draws the same committed bidding as a factory correct one. Survivors of both traditions are getting scarcer, and Australian collectors have never valued them more.
