This 1950 MG TD is a factory right-hand drive example finished in green with a tan soft top and tan leather interior. It is powered by a 1.3-litre XPAG inline-four engine paired with a four-speed manual gearbox, sending drive to the rear wheels. The odometer currently shows 3,651 miles, though true mileage is unknown. With fewer than 900 MG TDs sold new in Australia, examples like this are increasingly rare on local roads.

This car has had three known owners. It was purchased by the current owner in 2013 and has been garaged in Sydney since. The prior owner held the car from 2005 to 2013. Some documentation accompanies the car, including past receipts and for-sale advertisements dating back to 2005. The MG was reportedly sold fully restored in December 2005, with new timber work completed at the time. The previous owner also carried out an extensive mechanical refresh including engine work and replacement of various components such as the starter motor, oil pump, fuel pump, ring gear, clutch, brakes, oil gauges, tacho, distributor, steering arms, suspension and gearbox.

During the current ownership, the car has been used sparingly—covering approximately 1,500 miles in the past 12 years, with only 15 miles travelled in the last year due to the owner’s ill health. The most recent work was completed in 2023, including repairs to the brakes and stub axle. The car has been serviced routinely during this time and has remained in dry storage. Mechanically, the car runs well, with the seller noting the handbrake can be difficult to release and the electric windscreen wiper motor is currently inoperative.
