This 1956 Ford F250 is a characterful second generation F Series pickup, currently finished in bright yellow over a black interior and showing a confirmed F250 data plate. Power comes from a Ford 351 Windsor V8 engine paired with a C6 automatic transmission, with the odometer currently showing 69,017 miles TMU.
Ford's second generation F Series was produced from 1953 to 1956 and marked an important step forward for the company's post war pickup range. The 1956 model year is particularly recognisable for its revised cab design, wraparound windscreen and more modern frontal styling, giving it a distinct visual identity within the early F Series lineage. The F250 sat above the lighter F100 in the range, offering greater load carrying intent while retaining the simple mechanical layout and honest utility that make these trucks appealing today.
This example is currently finished in bright yellow with a black interior, chrome exterior trim, chrome bumpers, chrome mirrors and chrome wheels fitted during restoration. The paint presents extremely well with only minor blemishes. The cabin presents with a painted yellow dashboard, as-new carpet flooring, a recently fitted bench seat and seat belts, headliner in perfect condition, factory style steering wheel, column mounted shifter and a period style dashboard layout. Note that an electronic digital speedometer has been fitted in place of the original. The supplied data plate records serial number F25D6K31734, 4.88 rear axle ratio, colour code R, 120 inch wheelbase and production code 2L404B. The data plate reflects the truck's original factory specification; the drivetrain has been modified from stock during restoration.
The supplied data plate confirms this truck as a Ford F250 built in the United States, with its F25 serial prefix aligning with F250 identification. The accompanying production plate information records a 7400lb maximum gross vehicle weight rating.
This truck was imported from Kentucky, USA in 2025 from a long term owner of 25 years. A full body-off frame restoration was completed in 2009, with photos available. Both engine and transmission were rebuilt during the restoration. Additional modifications include a split braking system with brake booster and dual exhaust system. Recent work includes a new carburettor fitted June 2026, oil and filter change, brake bleed and adjustment, coolant replacement, full chassis lubrication and four new tyres, all completed April 2026.
