This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette (C2) Convertible is a big-block example, powered by a 7.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing up to 317kW (425hp) depending on specification, paired with a manual transmission, and showing 22,892 miles TMU.

The C2 Corvette, also known as the Sting Ray, is widely regarded as one of the most iconic American sports cars ever produced. The 1966 model year introduced the 427 cubic inch big-block V8, delivering a significant increase in performance and solidifying the Corvette’s reputation as a true muscle-era sports car. Today, big-block C2 examples remain highly sought after for their styling, performance, and historical significance.

Finished in correct code 988 Milano Maroon with a black interior, this example features period-correct styling including chrome bumpers, side exhaust pipes, and classic Corvette instrumentation. According to the seller, the vehicle remains largely standard, with the exception of side pipes which may have been added by a previous owner, along with the addition of a kill switch. It has 15 inch aluminium wheels with knock off spinners and P205/75 Goodrich Silvertown Gold Wall radial tyres.

According to the seller, the vehicle was previously owned in the United States, with one known owner listed on the Certificate of Title, before being imported to Australia in 2021 by the previous owner. The current owner has held the vehicle since June 2022. The seller advises the vehicle was restored in the United States, reportedly to a high standard, with documentation indicating body and paint work completed in 2021. Servicing in Australia has been carried out by TGS Muscle Cars in Moorabbin, with the most recent full service completed in August 2025, which included battery replacement, along with air conditioning compressor replacement and associated works completed during 2025.

The seller advises the exterior presents in excellent condition following recent detailing, and further notes the frame is rust free. The fibreglass body is straight with consistent panel fitment and gapping. The interior is described by the seller as outstanding, with all electrical components reported to be functioning, including the air conditioning system. The seller notes a few non-urgent mechanical items requiring attention, but nothing requiring immediate action. Included in the sale are two sets of keys, service receipts, and the original air conditioning compressor.
