This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is an extensively modified coupe featuring a supercharged 540ci Dart-block V8 and ten years of ownership within the seller’s family. Powered by an 8.8 litre (540ci) V8 fitted with a ProCharger supercharger, paired with a Rossler Racing four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The odometer currently shows 90,753 miles* TMU.

Chevrolet introduced the Camaro for the 1967 model year, offering coupe and convertible bodies with six-cylinder and V8 engines. The 1969 model brought revised bodywork, a more pronounced grille, triple-section tail lamps and a redesigned dashboard. It was the final model year of the first generation, whose performance range included the Trans-Am-inspired Z/28 with a 302ci V8 and four-speed manual transmission.

Finished in metallic gold with black stripes, this example features Z/28 badging, a raised bonnet, rear spoiler and five-spoke alloy wheels. Its left-hand-drive cabin combines black trim with houndstooth seat inserts, a three-spoke steering wheel, aftermarket automatic shifter, supplementary gauges and an aftermarket stereo. The recorded VIN identifies a factory six-cylinder coupe, while the photographed X44 body code denotes non-Z/28 specification. The body plate also records paint code 72 72 for Hugger Orange, distinct from its current finish. These factory details are separate from the Z/28 styling and modified drivetrain now fitted.

The seller reports two previous owners and advises that the Camaro has remained within the family for ten years, following its importation from America. They attribute the build to John Barbagallo in Queensland and identify Hi Comp Performance Engines & Tuning as the servicing specialist. The seller describes the Rossler Racing transmission as specified to suit up to 2,000 hp; this is a stated transmission capability rather than a measured engine output. Photographs show the belt-driven supercharger, fabricated intake plumbing, tubular exhaust headers and an aluminium radiator. A photographed Queensland Certificate of Modification records work including a supercharger, five-speed transmission and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes. Its transmission description differs from the four-speed automatic now reported, so it does not establish approval of the complete current configuration.

The seller describes the paintwork as excellent and the interior as being in great condition, with all equipment reported to operate. They disclose no current or recurring mechanical faults and specifically report no overheating. The photographs show the current exterior, cabin, engine bay and accessible underside areas.

Included with the sale are a spare key, service booklets and receipts described by the seller as dating from the car’s importation. The seller also advises that photographs from before the build accompany the vehicle, together with approximately eight boxes of assorted spare parts, a spare wing and two boxes of oil.
