This 1970 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT is a Japanese-restored and tastefully modified example, powered by an upgraded 2.8-litre inline six-cylinder engine with triple Mikuni carburettors, paired with a manual transmission and producing a documented 100hp at the rear wheels. Introduced in 1968, the third-generation Nissan Skyline, commonly known by its C10 chassis designation or ‘Hakosuka’ nickname, marked an important period in the Skyline story. The generation became particularly significant following the introduction of the performance-focused GT-R, establishing much of the sporting reputation that would become synonymous with the Skyline name. Today, C10-generation cars are among the most recognisable early Japanese classics.The number of previous owners is unknown, with the current owner having acquired the car approximately six years ago. Prior to its importation, the Skyline was restored in Japan, with the work estimated to have been completed approximately 10 to 15 years ago.

Since 2021, maintenance has been carried out by Northern Modern & Classic, with records for work completed during this period accompanying the vehicle. More substantial mechanical work has included a complete fuel-system overhaul comprising a refurbished fuel tank, new fuel lines and fuel pump, along with a renewed ignition system featuring an electronic distributor and performance ignition coil.

Mechanically, the car is reported to be running well, with its features and gauges operating with the exception of the analogue clock and oil-pressure gauge.

The 2.8-litre engine represents an increase in capacity from the car's original 2.0-litre specification and is fitted with triple Mikuni carburettors, extractors and a performance exhaust. A dyno sheet recording 100hp at the rear wheels accompanies the vehicle. Further upgrades include front coilovers, upgraded front brakes, Watanabe wheels with Toyo tyres and fender flares.

The exterior was repainted as part of its previous life in Japan and presents in good condition for its age, with no major dents or scrapes reported. There are minor chips and imperfections consistent with normal use, while the alloy wheels display some scratches without serious damage. The car's original colour was silver, which remains visible within the engine bay. No known accident history has been reported, the vehicle has not been written off, and no rust is currently evident.

Inside, the cabin presents in good condition, with no reported rips to the seats or interior trim and carpets presenting well throughout. The original radio remains fitted but is not operational, while the instrument illumination is noted to be dim at night. The analogue clock and oil-pressure gauge are also inoperative.

Included with the sale are two keys, the spare wheel as pictured, records for work carried out since 2021 and the accompanying dyno sheet.
