Equipment includes power steering, power windows and a hydraulically operated convertible roof. The supplied specification lists MSD ignition, a Mallory distributor, a Holley Street Avenger electric-choke carburettor and a 2.5-inch exhaust with a balance pipe. Further additions include LED headlights, front inertia-reel and rear lap-sash seatbelts, a removable roll bar with LED brake lights and a heavy-duty battery. The photographed VASS certificate records a 7,033 cc V8 and addresses the documented seating, seatbelt and lighting compliance work.

The current owner advises that the Mustang was purchased in California and imported to Australia in 2018. Servicing has been undertaken by Bona Motors, with the last full service reported on 16 December 2025 at 10,242 miles. The accompanying receipts document replacement convertible-top hydraulic cylinders, hoses, motor and pump, together with switch and wiring work, by Convertible Service in California in late 2018. Subsequent work includes a C6 transmission service by Transfixed Automatics in Bundoora and replacement exhaust pipework by Classic Custom Exhausts in Coburg. The exhaust invoice also records repair of a chassis-rail hole attributed to a previous exhaust attachment. The seller reports that Advanced Carburettors rebuilt and tuned the Holley carburettor, Romsey Auto Electrics checked and refurbished the wiring, and True Steer Steering Boxes in Kilsyth rebuilt the power steering. Other reported replacements include door switches and the appropriate springs for the Ram-air-style bonnet.

The seller describes the paintwork as well preserved for its age, with a few stone chips and blemishes. The seats, carpets and door trims are reported to be in good condition for their age, while the centre console has small cracks. The tachometer is inoperative following the electronic ignition installation, and the driver’s-side rear window motor requires replacement. The seller reports that the other gauges operate and describes the tyres as near-new.

Included with the sale are the import papers and service receipts, a five-volume 1971 Ford Workshop Manual, a 1971 Ford Mustang Wiring Manual and a Classic Industries Mustang parts catalogue. Spare parts include rear brake components and springs, brake cylinders, a voltage regulator, wheel bearings and a set of ball joints.
