This 1985 Ferrari 308 GTSi Quattrovalvole is an Australian delivered example presented with its original Ferrari books and an extensive documented service history. It is powered by a mid-mounted 2.9 litre naturally aspirated quad-cam V8 producing 176 kW (240 hp), paired with a five-speed gated manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The odometer currently shows 88,683 km* indicated.

Introduced in 1982, the Quattrovalvole represented the final major evolution of the 308 before the arrival of the 328. Its four-valve-per-cylinder cylinder heads increased performance over the preceding injected 308 GTSi, while retaining the Pininfarina-designed targa body, mid-engined layout and gated manual transmission that defined Ferrari’s V8 sports cars of the period.

The seller advises that the car retains its original matching-numbers engine and gearbox, together with its original exhaust system. An aftermarket radio is currently fitted, with the original radio retained and included with the vehicle. The interior is also reported to retain its original carpets, headlining, dashboard and door cards, while the electric window mechanisms have recently been overhauled.

The current owner acquired the Ferrari in August 2015 and believes they are its fourth owner based on the accompanying service history. The car was serviced by Carl Jones Automotive from 2000 to 2015, followed by Cavallino Motorsport and, from 2021, Ferrari North Shore. The engine underwent a documented rebuild at Cavallino Motorsport during 2018 and 2019, including new bearings, liners, pistons, valves, cylinder-head work, belts, gaskets, clutch and water pump. More recent servicing at Ferrari North Shore has included brake fluid replacement, CV boots, fuel hoses and attention to the handbrake, stabiliser mount, accelerator cable, speedometer and electrical items. The seller advises that the next planned scheduled service would include replacement of the cam and drive belts.

The seller advises that the 308 has previously received a gold trophy at a Ferrari Club Concorso and describes the car as retaining a high level of originality. Minor stone chips are noted to the front bumper and apron, while the driver’s seat displays some use without reported tears or scratches. In 2021, a low-speed impact with a roadside embankment resulted in repairs and repainting to the front bumper and right-hand front corner, with the door skins also repainted at that time.

Included with the vehicle are the original Ferrari tool kit and bag, jack and jacking kit, inspection light, Ferrari Lorioli key ring and keys, original leather and fabric document pouch containing the owner’s manual, service book, lubrication chart and Ferrari Service Organisation book, an extensive folder of service and maintenance records, spare Ferrari throttle and brake cables, four aftermarket Speedline wheels and a full-size spare wheel.
