This 1986 Toyota Sprinter Trueno Black Limited (AE86) is a Japanese-market example of Toyota’s limited-production Black Limited variant, of which 400 examples were produced. It is powered by a 1.6 litre naturally aspirated 4A-GEU twin-cam inline four, factory rated at 96 kW (128 hp), driving the rear wheels. The odometer currently shows 66,320 km* indicated.

Released in Japan in 1986, the Black Limited was based on the facelifted, or Kouki, Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX three-door liftback and served as one of the final special editions of the rear-wheel-drive AE86 generation. Production was limited to 400 examples, distinguished when new by Black Metallic paint, gold exterior detailing and wheels, a model-specific rear garnish and unique black, grey and orange interior appointments. Toyota later referenced the original AE86 Black Limited when introducing the similarly named Toyota 86 special edition in 2020.

This example is finished in black and has previously been repainted, with the seller advising that the current paintwork was already present when the car arrived from Japan. It is currently fitted with TE37-style replica alloy wheels, coilover suspension and a full aftermarket exhaust system. The seller notes stone chips to the front bumper and several areas of bubbling to the roof.

The car was purchased from Sydney-based importer OC Automotive after arriving from Japan. No Japanese service books accompany the vehicle, although the seller retains the dealer invoice from its Australian purchase. Maintenance during their ownership has included regular engine oil changes and a full fluid change.

According to the seller, the seats remain in good condition, while the dashboard displays cracking consistent with age. The seller reports that the windows and other electrical equipment are operating as expected.

Included with the vehicle are its spare wheel, factory-style tool kit and Australian dealer invoice.
