This 1991 Nissan Figaro is a Japanese-market retro styled convertible that has remained with its current owner for the past six years and benefits from a range of suspension, driveline, and touring-focused upgrades. Powered by a turbocharged 1.0 litre inline four cylinder engine producing 56kW (75hp), it drives the front wheels through a three speed automatic transmission. Finished in pale blue with a white retractable roof over a white interior, the odometer currently displays 136,160 kilometres indicated.
Released exclusively for the Japanese domestic market in 1991, the Nissan Figaro formed part of Nissan’s “Pike Factory” series of niche retro inspired vehicles. Styled with clear influences from 1950s and 1960s European city cars, the Figaro combined nostalgic design cues with dependable Nissan mechanicals based on the contemporary Micra platform. Limited production numbers and distinctive styling have helped establish the Figaro as a cult classic among collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.
Finished in Lapis Grey with a white roof and white trim, this example features a number of aftermarket upgrades according to the seller. These include an HKS cat back exhaust system, K&N air filter, Kenwood audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, custom dashboard fascia, Turbosmart boost gauge, aftermarket sound deadening, custom A-pillar trims, aftermarket 14 inch wheels fitted with genuine Nissan Figaro centre caps and stainless steel inserts, and a kill switch. The seller also advises that the vehicle has been fitted with poly engine mounts, poly bushings, replacement control arms, struts, shock absorbers, and 35mm lowering springs.
According to the seller, this Figaro has been serviced by MRPS and Capalaba Motor Repairs during current ownership. The seller advises that most suspension components have been replaced, along with turbo oil feed lines upgraded to steel braided hoses. In 2024 the outer CV shaft was replaced, while the most recent service was completed in April 2025. The seller reports that beyond these works the vehicle has remained reliable and running well.
According to the seller, the paint presents in excellent condition for its age with some touched up stone chips and minor imperfections consistent with use over time, while the chrome trim is described as being in excellent condition. The seller advises the interior remains well preserved overall, though the passenger power window switch can intermittently malfunction and there is some wear to the centre console and seats. Included with the sale are one spare key, a spare chrome grille, brake discs and pads, and various suspension and servicing parts.
