This 2002 Kawasaki W650 Custom Scrambler is a modified example featuring custom candy apple red paintwork and SM Pro spoked wheels. Its naturally aspirated, air-cooled 675 cc parallel twin is paired with a five-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheel through a chain final drive. The odometer reading is awaiting confirmation.

Introduced in 1999, the W650 revisited the styling of Kawasaki’s earlier W-series twins, combining traditional proportions with a bevel-driven overhead camshaft engine. Carburettor induction, twin rear shock absorbers and spoked wheels reinforced its classic roadster character. This example has subsequently been modified with scrambler and tracker styling.

The red paintwork incorporates contrasting tank panels and pinstriping, complemented by custom front and rear mudguards and a ribbed tan seat described by the seller as leather. Further details include polished engine casings, SM Pro rims, block-pattern tyres, modified exhaust pipes, a compact round headlight and a Daytona speedometer. The motorcycle retains a front disc brake and rear drum brake. The BAT1 plate shown in the photographs is for display and is excluded from the sale.

The seller attributes the custom build to the previous owner and estimates expenditure of approximately $18,000 on parts and labour. The photographed used-import plate identifies the motorcycle as a W650 manufactured in January 2002, with Australian compliance dated August 2009. The supplied history states that it was decommissioned and displayed inside a South Yarra office for more than 18 months. It has since been moved outside for access and collection.

The motorcycle is offered in non-running condition following its period of static display. The seller anticipates that recommissioning will include attention to fluids and the battery, together with a safety inspection, although the full extent of required work has not been established. In-person inspections are available by appointment in South Yarra, but test rides are unavailable.
