This 2007 Porsche (987) Boxster has been converted with a naturally aspirated Chevrolet LS3 6.2 litre V8 and is accompanied by a Western Australian modification approval permit. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.2 litre V8 driving the rear wheels through a six speed manual transmission. The odometer currently indicates 156,024 kilometres.

The 987 generation Boxster continued Porsche's mid engined roadster formula, pairing compact proportions with a balanced chassis and open top usability. This example departs significantly from standard specification, with the factory flat six replaced by an LS3 V8 conversion using a Renegade Hybrids kit, creating a substantially re engineered version of Porsche's two seat roadster.

This example is finished in silver over a black interior and sits on black multi piece wheels. The cabin features black leather seats, a Porsche Macan steering wheel, an aftermarket head unit with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an OBD digital gauge, and a manual gear selector. The modification approval permit lists an LS3 6.2 litre V8, custom exhaust with extractors, front 235/40R18 and rear 285/35R18 tyres, and Holden Astra electric power steering.

According to the current owner, the car was purchased in 2019 and the LS3 conversion was completed using a Renegade Hybrids kit, with a Kennedy Engineering adaptor plate mating the LS3 to a 986-S six speed manual gearbox, selected for its more favourable ratios over the standard 996 unit. The LS3 engine was sourced from a HSV Maloo and rebuilt prior to installation, with approximately 15,000 kilometres travelled since conversion and around 13,000 kilometres since the permits were granted. The conversion was approved in Western Australia with a full modification report submitted at the time, including documentation of donor vehicles. The permit itself is on hand, though the original engineering bundle and receipts are no longer available, with the exception of the receipt for the SPC camber arms.

The build includes a custom cooling system with an additional centre radiator, 996-S front disc and caliper brake upgrade, Holden Astra electric power steering pump, custom exhaust with a bolt-on catalytic converter section, custom suspension with SPC camber arms, and a custom air conditioning system using factory condensers. The car runs a standalone GM ECU with a Porsche ECU overlay, with ABS, PSM, air conditioning and all major systems confirmed as operational. The factory Porsche temperature gauge can become inaccurate at higher coolant temperatures due to the conversion and dual ECU setup, with the OBD gauge fitted for accurate coolant temperature, voltage and fuel trim monitoring.

All fluids were flushed in 2023, with oil changes carried out every six months except during 2026, and the most recent oil change completed in August 2025. The engine, cooling system, transmission and brakes are reported to operate reliably with no mechanical faults or warning lights present.

The paint is described as presenting well for its age with minor wear consistent with a 2007 vehicle and no major dents or cosmetic issues noted. The interior is described as being in good condition, with the current seats fitted in 2022. Known non-operational items include the reverse camera, key remote battery, Macan steering wheel audio controls, paddle shifters, and no heater core is fitted.

Included with the vehicle are standard Western Australian plates, main key and plastic key, spare alternator, bolt-on catalytic converter section, miscellaneous spare parts including underbody plastics, and an OBD diagnostic tool.
