Nissan Skyline & GT-R

The Skyline name reaches back to Prince in the 1960s, but the R32 GT-R made it immortal: all wheel drive, twin turbocharged and so dominant in Australian touring car racing that the rules were changed around it. The R33 refined the package, the R34 perfected it and now leads collector demand for Japanese cars of any kind, and the R35 turned the formula into a global supercar. NISMO, V-spec and limited editions sit at the top of each generation. So many of these cars were modified in period that verifiable history decides everything on original examples, while well engineered builds are a respected market of their own here.
